About ENS
The Emirates Neuropsychology Society (ENS) is a newly established organisation, now taking its first steps in consolidating neuropsychology in the region. Its president, Dr Alexandre Machado, is also the official UAE representative to the International Neuropsychological Society (INS), linking local practice to international scientific standards.
ENS aims to promote credible, recognised training in neuropsychology for all health professionals, to support applied and translational brain–behaviour research, and to build partnerships with universities, hospitals, the business sector at large, health and technology companies, as well as with strategic national initiatives, including the UAE space programme.
In the medium to long term, the Society seeks to contribute to the creation of structured postgraduate (PGD) and, subsequently, MSc programmes in neuropsychology in the region, while helping to improve mental health and neurocognitive well‑being across the Emirates.
